What to Know
If you’re from the Midwest you’ve most certainly been to a joint like this on a trip to someone’s lake house. Old Blatz beer signs and table top arcade games are the name of the game.
What to order: They are known for their fried chicken, order some along with the hot peanuts, a treat straight from the owners Philadelphia roots. You’ll notice a lot of Phili stuff floating around.
The kitchen closes at 10pm weekdays, 11pm weekends.

What to Know
It’s just under 10 minutes to walk from Crawford’s to here. (.3 miles and up a hill) If that is too much grab an Uber.
This music venue and art space has been rocking for years playing host to great acts such as Arcade Fire, Tenacious D, & Alt-J.
They have shows nightly ranging from wrestling, readings, comedy and, of course, live music.
It’s broken into two rooms. the music and bar is in the back right, through the hallway. The front room is more of a hang out during concerts, unless something special is happening. They’ve got ping pong and all sorts of art to perfectly wander around with a beer in hand.

What to Know
This tiny one room hangout has an incredible curated list of interesting wines and curious beers in an old school speakeasy candle lit vibe.
Certain nights they have live music, most notably on Tuesdays their ragged time night. They usually start at 10pm. Check their insta or facebook for updates before heading in.
Thursdays they host their tamale happy hour starting at 7:30pm. For every drink you order you also receive 1 tamale. It’s lax and on the honor system but the action runs until the pan is empty.
