Before the Date…
Not much can withstand the closures of the quarantine, not even the happiest place on Earth. The time has come to bring your favorite childhood pastime to your living room by re-creating the classics you grew up with. Dust off your Mickey ears, grab the grocery list in Stop #2, and decide which ride you’re hitting first cause your going to Disneyland!
Step #1
A Disney Dinner
re-created from local restaurants
Our Date: Monte Cristos from
What to Know
Re-create dinner by ordering take out from a local restaurant which will take the place of your dinner in Disneyland. We devoured a Monte Cristo sandwich from Beverly Hills’ Blasteron just like you would at the Pirate’s of the Caribbean’s Cafe Orlean’s restaurant.
The top bites to eat at Disneyland (in no order) with LA suggestions:
Monte Cristo from Cafe Orleans
• Blasteron
• HMS Bounty
Lobster Rolls from Harbour Galley
• Connie & Ted‘s
• Cousin’s Lobster Truck
Jungle Skewers from Bengal Barbeque
• Your Local Thai Spot
• Any Ono Hawaiian BBQ
Fried Chicken from Plaza Inn
• Honey Kettle
• Lucky Bird
Walt’s Chili from Carnation Cafe
• Canter’s
• Carney’s
Bao from Tropical Hideaway
• Woon
• Little Fatty
Step #2
Classic Disney Dessert
made in your own kitchen
What to Know
Dessert, a tradition as American as Disneyland. If you’re heading to Walt’s world your most likely going to indulge in a treat. A churro, maybe a funnel cake, or are you more of a beignet fan?
Two desserts reign supreme at Disney:
1. The Dole Whip: On April 9th Disney released the recipe for this famed desert. On your next grocery run make sure to grab dairy free ice cream, pineapple juice, & frozen pineapple chunks. *Also grab cones and a frosting piping kit.
Recipe: Place in blender then blend until smooth, place in piping bag then squeeze into cone or bowl.
1 large scoop of vanilla ice cream
4 oz. of pineapple juice
2 cups of frozen pineapple (this is a crucial component, it must be frozen)
2.The Mickey Bar: Picking these up in the store will have better results than making them. They’re right next to the ice cream for your Dole Whips.
Step #3
Front Row Seats
on all your favorite Disney rides
What to Know
Almost any ride you can conjure up is available on YouTube giving you a front row seat to the action. Just search “Disney Rides”.
Set Up:
1. Take two chairs which place you eye level with the middle of your TV when you sit on them.
2. Set the chairs 2-3 feet from your TV screen. Limit peripheral vision to the TV.
3. Take a set, choose your ride, and feel like you’re on flying. (add fan in front of you for maximumfor exposure)
Choosing rides:
Make sure to select videos filmed in “4K”. Also, the best videos are from “Attractions 360” and “CoasterForce”.
Outdoor roller coasters will have a much greater impact on physical feelings than the inside rides: Thunder Mtn. vs Pirates of the Caribbean.
Rotating between outdoor rides and the indoor rides will help with feelings queesy.
Highly suggested rides:
• Expedition Everest
• Indiana Jones in Tokyo
• Pirates of the Caribbean in Shanghai
• All the Thunder Mtn. Rides
• Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

In order to reserve a time, call their number (310) 440-9400 and speak with Brian Studwell. Usually it’s an 11am meet up Sunday (however, he may open Saturday soon).
The club has been around since 1947, so lots of tradition, care, and pride here. Granted, they don’t seem to mind if you wanna have a glass of rose with you.
